What We do

Love and Hope Centre (LHC) is a Faith Based Organization that works with vulnerable and marginalized people often described as people of the last mile: to ensure they have access to quality health care and rights. Offering the services since its inception in 1998 when the Founder and Director, Sr. Patricia Speight, a Franciscan Missionary Sister for Africa, came to fulfill her missionary call in Nakuru a town within the heart of Rift valley in Kenya

Women Empowerment

Train on rights, Gender based violence and Behaviour change process for 250 Women and Girls in the next 5 years Facilitate support group therapies /Individual counselling to 250 Women and Girls in the next 5 years

Youth Transformation

Train and mentor Youths on behavior change process to address challenges related to alcohol and drug abuse, HIV and Aids and life skills. • Support Youths with vocational skills.

Health

Support terminally and chronically ill person’s social protection i.e. access NHIF services. • Palliative care Services to the terminally and chronically ill persons. • Support access to treatment through cost sharing

Local Resources Mobilization Strategies

Training consultancy services, particularly on Leadership and behavior change process trainings from schools within Nakuru and within catholic churches. • catering income from program related catering services and from a few NGOs within Nakuru
