Community Facilitators are permanent residents in our target communities, who are involved in community work by being in at least one community structure, respected by the community, self motivated and able to volunteer. They also use of visuals and codes according to the Community Conversation manual.
The CFs work in the 6 informal settlements, namely; Kaptembwa, Rhonda, FLAPAK, Bondeni, Kapkures and New canaan
The role of the
Community Facilitators is to ensure the safety and dignity of adolescent girls
and young women by using Community Conversations to challenge gender norms,
attitudes, behaviours and practices that relate to GBV and HIV stigma within
target communities. The CFs facilitate forums for the community to
raise issues of priority and importance to them
by using a gender lens and hold government and county
offices in to account on service provision.
